Do you have solid accounting experience and enjoy working across multiple finance functions? Are you looking for a flexible, part-time role where you can step in quickly and make an immediate impact?

This part-time Finance Associate role supports a small, collaborative accounting team within a mission-driven organization of approximately 60+ employees. The position is ideal for someone with hands-on accounting experience who can manage daily transactional work, assist with grant-related activity, and support system implementations. The team is seeking a versatile professional who can work independently with minimal training and adapt to changing priorities.

JOB DETAILS:

• Pay: $25–$30/hour depending on experience
• Schedule: Part-time, 20–30 hours/week; Monday–Wednesday preferred with flexibility
• Location: Downtown Minneapolis; onsite to start with potential for hybrid over time
• Contract role: 4–6 months+
• Parking onsite is fully covered by vouchers in the building’s attached garage, including contractor parking

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enter and process gifts, contributions, and financial transactions
• Support accounts payable processing and related accounting tasks
• Assist with grant accounting activities as applicable
• Provide support during finance system transitions and new software rollouts
• Work across multiple accounting areas supporting a small finance team
• Maintain accurate financial records and support daily finance operations

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Associate degree required or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience with SAP Concur, Stellar iPhi, or Salesforce preferred
• Strong hands-on accounting skills with the ability to work independently
• Experience entering gifts, managing transactional accounting, and supporting multiple finance functions preferred
• Exposure to grant accounting preferred
• Experience with accounting or donor management systems such as Give Interactive, iPhi, or similar platforms
• Ability to adapt quickly in a changing environment and support system implementations
• Nonprofit or mission-driven organization experience preferred
