Job Description

The Role

The Golf & Sports Field Equipment Sales Representative is responsible for growing World Sports’ equipment division across California, with a primary focus on Dennis Mowers and SISIS equipment. This role will work directly with golf course superintendents, sports turf managers, groundskeepers, facility operators, and other decision-makers to identify equipment needs, conduct on-site demonstrations, and convert opportunities into revenue.

The person in this seat must understand field conditions, maintenance challenges, and operational priorities well enough to position the right equipment as a practical solution that improves field quality, labor efficiency, and long-term maintenance performance.

This is a field-based individual contributor role with responsibility for business development, account expansion, product demonstrations, and closing equipment sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow equipment sales across the California territory
  • Conduct on-site demonstrations and equipment trials for clients and prospects
  • Develop new business within World Sports’ target client segments
  • Manage the full sales cycle from outreach through close
  • Maintain an active pipeline, accurate forecasts, and clean CRM records
  • Represent World Sports in the field, at client sites, and at industry events
  • Manage client relationships for ongoing parts, service, and maintenance needs

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in B2B equipment sales, golf / sports turf operations, or a related field-based commercial role
  • Strong consultative sales ability and confidence managing a full sales cycle
  • Comfort working in field environments and leading hands-on equipment demonstrations
  • Ability to speak credibly with both operational users and executive decision-makers
  • Strong organizational skills, pipeline discipline, and follow-through
  • Willingness to travel throughout territory
  • Experience in sports turf, golf, grounds maintenance, or related equipment industry is strongly preferred
