Import Logistics Coordinator

Milwaukee, WI (Hybrid)

Schedule: M-F; 8-4:30 (flexible)

Type: Full-time; permanent

In this role, you’ll act as a key point of coordination between customers, carriers, and internal teams—ensuring all documentation is accurate, shipments stay on track, and compliance requirements are met. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys working with structured processes, handling detailed information, and managing multiple priorities at once.

What You’ll Do

• Review import documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Enter shipment and customs data into internal systems
• Coordinate with carriers to track and manage inbound shipments
• Communicate with customers to gather required information and provide updates
• Monitor shipment timelines and proactively address delays or issues
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and internal procedures
• Support processing of various shipment types and commodities
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

• Customer service experience (phone/email communication)
• Exposure to logistics, transportation, or supply chain
• Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage a high volume of emails and prioritize tasks effectively
• Organized, dependable, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with customs clearance or brokerage
• Experience working with logistics or ERP systems

Details

• Salary: $50,000 – $60,000
• Bonus: Discretionary annual bonus
• Schedule: Flexible start times (7:30–4, 8–4:30, or 8:30–5)
• Hybrid: On-site training period, then work from home 2 days/week
