Gorlick Kravitz & Listhaus, P.C. (“GKL”) is a union-side Labor and ERISA law firm with a 30-year history of commitment to union values and the power of organized labor. We represent unions as well as the unions’ associated benefit funds which provide pensions and health care benefits to the union members. GKL has an open position for a junior litigation attorney . The role includes:

• Representing unions, their associated benefit plans, union members and other clients in a variety of Labor, Employment & ERISA actions in state and federal courts, before the National Labor Relations Board and in arbitration;
• Research and drafting memoranda; drafting pleadings; conducting discovery; drafting motions; and judgment enforcement;
• Assist with the preparation and participate in negotiations for mediations and settlement conferences;
• Research and other support for partners advising unions and multi-employer benefit funds on compliant day-to-day operations of their institutions.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of litigation experience;
• Admission (or pending admission) to the New York bar;
• Strong research and writing skills;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written); and
• A high level of attention to detail and organization.

This role is full-time and in-office (located in the Financial District of NYC).

Salary range is $90,000 to $100,000 per year plus benefits.
