Job Description

Masis Professional Group is recruiting for a Machine Operator on behalf of our client. This is a 1st shift opportunity offering a competitive payrate and benefits.

Specific Accountabilities of the Machine Operator:

Production / Operations:

• Apply metal to customer orders based on work order specifications
• Set up, operate, and maintain cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment
• Pull, inspect, and verify materials prior to processing
• Properly set up equipment according to set-up notes and work instructions
• Process materials to exact specifications and perform in-process quality checks
• Record measurements and follow sampling plans
• Complete production logs and reconcile production data
• Communicate with internal teams regarding order changes or clarifications
• Assist with packaging and labeling per work instructions

Quality & Compliance:

• Verify product meets all work order and specification requirements
• Identify, record, and segregate scrap or non-conforming material
• Perform routine quality checks during machine operation
• Maintain and properly use measurement equipment
• Accurately enter and manage material identification tags

Equipment & Maintenance:

• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Maintain cranes, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment in safe working condition
• Operate weighing scales and record inspection data
• Perform general clean-up and maintain an organized work area

Team & Continuous Improvement:

• Balance workload and assist team members as needed
• Provide feedback on machine efficiency and product quality
• Recommend process improvements within the manufacturing area
• Train other employees as required
• Support lean manufacturing and quality initiatives

Safety:

• Perform all duties in a safe manner and follow all safety protocols
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment
• Work directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery
