This role focuses on performing high-quality multi-pass pipe welds in all positions using SMAW and GTAW processes on carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper nickel pipe. You will interpret blueprints and drawings, plan layouts, and execute precise welds that meet strict specifications and industry standards across a variety of industrial and construction projects.

Work Environment
This role supports industrial and construction projects throughout the Hampton Roads area, including work on large-scale jobs in Norfolk. You will work primarily Monday through Friday from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with some Saturday work as project needs require. The work takes place on active construction and shipbuilding-related sites, where adherence to OSHA safety standards and site-specific rules is essential. You will regularly use SMAW and GTAW welding equipment, powered saws, oxygen/propane heating torches, and precision measuring tools such as fillet gauges, butt gauges, and six-inch scales. The environment is hands-on and field-based, requiring appropriate jobsite attire and personal protective equipment suitable for industrial welding and construction settings.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
