Position Summary
The lead RN provides individualized and specialized nursing care to patients in the center in accordance with the attending physician's orders, recognized nursing techniques, legal aspects of current nursing practice within the state and the center's policies and procedures. The Lead RN participates in the teaching of patients and family and works cooperatively with other health care team members. The lead RN collaborates with physicians and other health care workers to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. The Surgical RN maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting working in both the intra-op area and the post-op area.
