TSSCI Human Resources Manager – Reports to COO (3 direct reports – 2 HR Specialists and an HR Recruiter)

Fully on site in Fairfax, VA

SCI Eligibility, will be processed for a CI Poly

Position willing to pay $130,000-$160,000 depending on experience

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a Human Resources Manager for a top government contracting client. This individual will lead the day-to-day HR operations while managing a small, high-impact HR team. The role blends strategic partnership with senior leadership and hands-on operational execution across employee relations, benefits, compensation, compliance, and engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned HR leader who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is comfortable operating in a highly regulated space.

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of hands-on HR operational experience
  • Prior experience supporting a mid-sized organization (500+ employees)
  • Strong employee relations experience (PIPs, terminations, conflict resolution)
  • End-to-end benefits administration experience, including open enrollment and renewals
  • 401(k) plan administration experience (testing, 5500 filing, audits)
  • Compensation and performance management experience
  • Experience managing and developing HR staff
  • Knowledge of HR laws, compliance, and best practices
  • SCI eligibility (ability to obtain CI Poly)

Plusses:

  • PHR or SPHR certification
  • Prior experience in a government contracting environment
  • Experience interfacing with a parent company or corporate HR organization
  • Board-level reporting or executive presentation experience

Day-to-Day:

  • Manage HR operations including onboarding, recruiting, employee relations, benefits, compensation, performance, training, compliance, and ethics
  • Lead and oversee a team of HR Specialists and an HR Recruiter
  • Partner with senior leadership on workforce planning and HR strategy
  • Handle employee relations matters, including PIPs and terminations
  • Manage benefits administration, broker relationships, audits, renewals, and open enrollment
  • Oversee 401(k) plan administration, compliance testing, and filings
  • Execute compensation and bonus strategy and performance management cycles
  • Manage onboarding processes and new hire orientations
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and company-wide events
  • Prepare headcount and HR-related slides for Board of Directors meetings
  • Deliver annual mandatory compliance and ethics training
  • Collaborate weekly with internal support teams (Operations, IT, Security, Logistics)
  • Respond to parent company HR and ethics requests and attend biweekly corporate HR calls
  • Manage HR-related budgeting and departmental workflows
